  it is sad - but it is growth for them too.

  forums like this do seem to feed the obsession that we are trying to shed, don't they?

  I'm an 'outsider' - am not, never was, never will be a JW, etc.

  I have learned an awful lot from the board, although I realise that my knowledge and understanding can only be 'one step removed'.

  I have encountered some really great people here and received some wonderful support when I needed it (even though it was entirly unconnected with JW stuff).

  I agree, of course, that the 'internet community' is not a substitute for real-life family and friends (though having had 'real-life' phone conversation with some lovely posters, and with the opportunity to meet-up with some, I hope, the line is not hard and fast) but sometimes it is easier to share feelings, hurts, hopes and dreams with 'friends' on-line than it is in real life. I find it so, anyway.

  List your fav drinks and how to make them...

  wifey and i were basically non-drinkers whilst in the dubland fantasy.

  now we drink an occasional glass of wine or pina colada.. we're not very imaginative with it.

  i know some understand the fruit of the vine well [like our buddy in oz, ozzie] and others enjoy mixed drinks.. which ones - and how do you make 'em?.

  Mornings: fresh-squeezed orange juice by the pint

  Daytime: very cold Keo/Leon/Carlsberg beer

  Evenings: wine with meals (usually 'village' i.e.local cheapo red)

  After dinner: sketo (I.e. unsweetened Cypriot aka Turkish coffee) with local brandy

  After-dinner bars: 'black russian', i.e. Tia Maria, vodka and coke.

  This is not every day, you understand - at least one day a week I substitute brandy for the 'black russians'.

  Night Owl or Early Bird?

  i can't sleep, i'm usually up until 2 (or later) every night.......then the alarm goes off at 6:30 and i'm up to start my day.

  i find that i'm more alert and productive in the night time, however i am sooo tired of not being able to sleep.

  so how about you, night owl or early bird?

  Because of the heat this time of year, it's bed about 2 am, up at sunrise (about 5.30 am) for a swim, walk on the beach, breakfast, business, shopping, etc., home by noon for a siesta till about 4 pm, fiddling about then out again about 7 or 8 pm.

  Well, I've often bought these products for my ex, and more recently for my daughter. Just a normal partof life, innit?

  But I would worry if I was a woman and saw the google ad on the bottom of this page for 'green menstruation'.

  And I can't help feeling that the women here have not been studying the TV ads for tampons properly. They show that you should be wearing tight white trousers/shorts/bikini, swimming/playing volleyball/tennis/cycling. It seems that using the right tampon will improve your sports capability, but I'm not sure if that applies if you use a tampon when you're not menstruating.

  we're installing new software, which we have to do at night when everybody is off the various systems.. hopefully we'll get outta here by 4am.
